My name is Cambridge Phillip Jerome Matthews, a Queer African American, visual artist who specializes in editorial and web cartooning from Lake Charles, Louisiana. I was born in Landstuhl ,Germany on an Army base but raised in Lake Charles,LA since I was six. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree of visual arts concentrated in graphic design from McNeese State University where I learned and furthered my illustrative skills as a storyteller. My main hope as a freelance cartoonist is to make my clients feel seen and heard by their commisioned art even if it comes out different than if they did it alone. I am a firm believer in truth and kindness by example.
